Pecan Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 ¾ cups Yupik Organic Coconut Palm Sugar
  • ¼ cup dark corn syrup
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 tbsp. cold water
  • 2 tsp. cornstarch
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 ¼ cups Yupik Medium Pecan Pieces
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shell

 

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350℉ (175℃).
  2. Combine sugar, corn syrup, butter, water, and cornstarch in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a full boil. Remove from heat.
  3. In a large bowl, beat eggs until frothy. Gradually beat in cooked syrup mixture. Stir in salt, vanilla, and pecans.
  4. Pour the pecan mixture into the pie shell.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven until the filling is set, 45 to 50 minutes. 
  6. Enjoy!
