Ingredients
- 1 ¾ cups Yupik Organic Coconut Palm Sugar
- ¼ cup dark corn syrup
- ¼ cup butter
- 1 tbsp. cold water
- 2 tsp. cornstarch
- 3 eggs
- 1 ¼ cups Yupik Medium Pecan Pieces
- ¼ tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shell
Method
1 Preheat oven to 350℉ (175℃).
2 Combine sugar, corn syrup, butter, water, and cornstarch in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a full boil. Remove from heat.
3 In a large bowl, beat eggs until frothy. Gradually beat in cooked syrup mixture. Stir in salt, vanilla, and pecans.
4 Pour the pecan mixture into the pie shell.
5 Bake in the preheated oven until the filling is set, 45 to 50 minutes.
