Like walnuts, Brazil nuts have patches of their edible, brown, papery skins on them. If you've haven’t tried these bulbous-looking, half moon-shaped nuts, they have a meaty, crunchy bite. This is the only nut we know of that requires a couple of bites before its gone! Regardless of their crunch, the texture of Brazil nuts is creamy and buttery. We often recommend tossing our Whole Shelled Brazil Nuts with other nuts, such as our Organic Almonds and Organic Dry Roasted Cashews to extend your variety. Turn up the volume by adding any one of our Organic Chocolates!

Brazil nuts contain high levels of selenium, a mineral which is known to prevent coronary disease, and various types of cancers. Brazil nuts are also high in copper, magnesium, and vitamin E. Like most nuts, Brazil nuts are also high in fiber and protein.
CULINARY TWIST: Coat it in crumbs!
Want to turn an ordinary week night dinner into something special? Take a piece of sea bass or chicken breast and coat it in a crumb mixture made of ground Organic Brazil Nuts, spices, and lemon zest. Use the same technique for vegetables like zucchini, eggplant, and onions!
Out of Parmesan cheese? Try substituting cheese by topping pasta dishes with decadent and hearty ground nuts for a healthy alternative!
