Baru nuts, also referred to as Baru almonds, are actually seeds. They grow in the wild and are only picked once the fruit falls from the tree. The nuts themselves can only be found on the inside of these fruits. They represent only 5% of the fruit, the rest is all flesh! The nut itself can be eaten with or without the skin.
