HOW TO COOK IT: 15 minutes to the best rice!
Saffron Rice uses a classic 2:1 ratio; 1 part rice, 2 parts water. To begin, soak desired amount in water for up to 30 minutes. Drain and rinse thoroughly. Set rice and water in a deep pan over medium heat. Once up to a simmer, cover, lower heat, and cook for 10 minutes. Turn off heat and allow rice to sit for 5 minutes.

We’re crazy about rice salad since there are so many glorious opportunities to adventure with varying spices and ingredients! For instance, get Spanish-inspired by adding roasted jalapenos, grilled corn, and grilled steak to your cooked rice with a lime-cilantro vinaigrette. Visit Morocco by adding dried fruit, nuts, and shredded, roasted lamb to your cooked rice – toss in an olive oil and lemon juice dressing! Ever been to India? Visit the gorgeous country by adding chick peas, okra, and hot chillies to cooked rice – toss in a grape seed oil and Indian spice blend vinaigrette. With Saffron Rice you can inspire a new culinary journey every time!
ABOUT SAFFRON: Did you know?
Saffron is the most expensive spice in the world! Saffron is a yellow stigma derived from small purple crocuses; a flower that produces only 3 yellow stigmas. Because it produces so little, and imparts such a unique color and flavor, saffron is highly regarded in the culinary world.
