CULINARY TWIST: From sweet to savory!
If you have Middle Eastern or Mediterranean roots, you remember your parents or grandparents pulling the blossom end off a dried fig and inserting an almond or walnut. You can recreate this tradition, or now begin it! The earthy flavors of nuts pair extraordinarily well with the nutty, honey, and jam-like flavors of dried figs!
