Use your creamy-smooth hazelnut butter to create vinaigrettes for salads, marinades for meats, or even in sauces. Hazelnuts are also known as filberts in some parts of the world. In England, hazelnuts are most eferred to as cobnuts. The season for hazelnuts begins on August 22 when farmers race to harvest the nuts before squirrels do!
It is important to note that when you first open your filbert butter, its natural oils may have separated from the mass. Simply stir well and refrigerate for up to 12 months after opening.
