HOW TO USE HULLED SESAME SEEDS: Tahini heaven!
Sesame seeds are extremely versatile in both sweet and savory foods! Add these tiny seeds to baked goods for a nutty, creamy bite without the heaviness or bulkiness of nuts. You can also use your sesame seeds in an array of savory foods, either as an addition, a coating, or a topping. Classically, sesame seeds can be used to make tahini (blended sesame seeds), which can be kept in the refrigerator for weeks. You can add differing dried spices to tahini for themed flavors, such as basil and fennel powder for an Italian spin; mesquite and cayenne for a tex mex spin; or garlic powder and oregano for a Greek spin. Tahini can then be used to make homemade humus, added to sauces, vinaigrettes, yogurt, etc. For added flavor, roast your sesame seeds before using!
