HOW TO COOK IT: Risotto and beyond!
Boil Arborio Rice for 15-20 minutes, drain, and use to your desire! Boiled Arborio Rice can also be used in the same way pasta is used. Add your favorite sauce, from Bolognese to pesto and serve! Note that Arborio Rice uses a classic 2:1 ratio; 1 part rice, 2 parts water (or stock).
Classically, Arborio Rice is used to make risotto. Arborio Rice needs to be cooked slowly in a shallow pan for 25-30 minutes, continually adding warm water or stock to it. The outer layer of the rice releases starch, creating a creamy consistency, while the center of the rice grain remains opaque. Click on the video to see a step-by-step basic risotto recipe!
